Field-informed. Industry-driven. Built on what's actually working.
The Georgia Construction Talent Study is a field-informed research initiative designed to capture insight from the people closest to the work educators, contractors, trade associations, training providers, and parents to understand what strategies are successfully attracting the next generation into construction careers.
This isn't a government report or an academic exercise. It's a ground-level look at what's actually happening in Georgia classrooms, jobsites, and apprenticeship programs and what's producing real results.
The findings will be used to highlight effective approaches, strengthen industry-education alignment, and inform how construction career pathways are communicated across the state.
Across Georgia, educators and contractors are doing incredible work connecting students to construction careers. Those stories deserve to be told.
The most effective approaches are rarely the loudest. This study is designed to surface what's working at the ground level and make it accessible on a state and national level.
When educators, contractors, and trade organizations are working from the same picture, the pipeline strengthens. This study helps build that shared picture.
The findings are only as strong as the people who contribute. If you're in the field, in the classroom, or leading an organization your perspective matters here.
CTAE teachers, school counselors, work-based learning coordinators, and career pathway leaders who are connecting students to construction every day.
General contractors, specialty trade contractors, and field leaders who are actively recruiting, training, and developing the next generation of craft professionals.
Industry organizations investing in workforce development, member engagement, and building stronger pipelines across Georgia's construction sector.
Apprenticeship programs, technical colleges, and trade schools producing skilled workers and building pathways into the industry.
Parents who want honest, clear information about what a career in construction actually looks like and what it can offer their child's future.
If you're working in Georgia's construction ecosystem as an educator, contractor, association leader, training provider, or parent your perspective is exactly what this study needs.
